Растение со специфическим запахом, характерным для S. khokhriakovii. Но по признакам ближе к S. pulchra, хотя сохранение засохших прошлогодних листьев для нее не типично. Скворцов и Большаков считают, что S. khokhriakovii образовалась в результате гибридизации S. pulchra и S. tschuktschorum, в таком случае, твой экземпляр - результат обратного скрещивания (или просто гибрид этих видов). Однако по моему мнению, в происхождении S. khokhriakovii, скорее, примешана не S. tschuktschorum, а S. magadanensis (S. erythrocarpa s.l.), поскольку у S. khokhriakovii листья также очень плотные и снизу сизые (сходство и в форме коробочек), чего не бывает у S. tschuktschorum, а зубчатость края листа и опушение коробочек она получила от S. pulchra.
